Fair chances thanks to our smart queue
For events where demand far exceeds supply (think of popular artists/events or exclusive editions), we have developed a smart solution: a virtual queue that we built in-house.
This queue allows visitors through in phases based on the platform's current capacity. This prevents overload and gives everyone a fair chance to buy a ticket. No crashed sites, no double orders or hassle. Just a smooth, controlled sale. Tickets almost sold out? Then the queue speed automatically slows down or the process is paused. This continues until sufficient tickets are available again or you are completely sold out, at which point the queue stops and displays this to those waiting.
Under the hood? Everything revolves around performance.
For the tech enthusiasts among us: our web servers run on Elastic Beanstalk , allowing us to effortlessly scale up to thousands of instances (and also increase capacity per instance). The database runs on Aurora Serverless v2 , which means it automatically grows with the number of visitors. Without delays or bottlenecks. And frequently used (static) data? We smartly cache it via Elasticache , so the platform remains fast and the database is not unnecessarily burdened.
But anyway, as the organizer, you don't have to arrange all of that. You just notice that everything runs smoothly. And that's what matters.
