Scanning solutions
Scan tickets with your phone, a handheld scanner, or a gate
You scan a club night using the phones your team already has. At a festival, you deploy handheld scanners at the main entrance. And between the campsite and the festival grounds, visitors scan themselves at a gate, both ways. Everything works with the same, up-to-date data.

Scanner app
The app for iOS and Android
Install the app on your team's phones and you can start scanning. The number of devices is unlimited, so opening an extra entrance only costs you an extra phone.
-
Log in with a QR code
Your employee scans the login QR from the backoffice and can get started immediately, without a password.
-
Per event or for the entire organization
An event-level login expires automatically upon completion. An organization-level login provides access to all your events.
-
Show or hide statistics
Turn off the statistics in the backoffice, and the scanner will no longer display numbers. Or tap "This scanner" twice in the app: then only the number scanned on that device will remain.

At the door
Green means keep going, red means take a look
Your door staff do not need to read anything to know if a ticket is correct. The entire screen turns green for a valid ticket and red with a cross if something is not in order.
-
Tangible, even in the dark
The phone vibrates briefly for a valid ticket and longer and harder for an invalid ticket. You can turn off the vibration signal.
-
Already scanned? You can see when and where.
For a ticket that has already been used, the app displays the date and time of the previous scan. A check mark next to the phone icon means that the scan was on the same device; without a check mark, it was on a different device.
-
Search by name
If scanning fails, search for the visitor by first name, last name, email address, or barcode.
-
Also scan the exit
If you scan a ticket at the exit, it becomes valid again for the entrance. This allows a visitor to go out and come back in later.
-
Outside the time slot, still allowed inside
A ticket with a deviating scan period is rejected outside its time slot. An employee with an organization-level login can still approve it.

For larger productions
Professional hardware as the volume rises
Zebra TC27 handheld scanners
Our recommendation for approximately 2,500 visitors or more. A Zebra scanner scans up to 1,800 tickets per hour and, thanks to the pistol grip, remains comfortable to hold even after a long shift. You request the scanners via the backoffice and combine them with telephones at the quieter entrances.
Smart Access Turnstile
Self-scan gates from Dutch Barrier Services, linked to SimpleTicket. The visitor scans their own ticket and proceeds if valid, up to 900 tickets per gate per hour. An exit scan validates the ticket, allowing your visitor to walk from the campsite to the festival grounds and back. Also suitable for festival weeks and venues where multiple productions take place in quick succession.
Entrance Manager
Know what is coming your way, to the minute
Every scan is immediately counted in the Entrance Manager. You see how many visitors are inside and how many more you expect. If a wave comes in, you know it will get busy at the bars fifteen minutes later. And you can see whether your audience arrives on time or only just before a single artist's performance.

Scan options per ticket product
One ticket, multiple applications
For each ticket product, you choose what the ticket can be scanned for. The options can be combined, for example entry with parking, and each option is scanned separately.
Entrance
Access to your event. You set how often a ticket can be scanned, up to fifty times. Handy for a multi-day ticket or a multi-trip pass.
Coins
Sell consumption tokens in advance in your shop. When scanning, your employee immediately sees how many tokens to hand out.
Parking
The parking attendant scans the same ticket at the barrier or the field. The entry remains valid for the entrance.
Bus transport
When boarding the shuttle bus or coach, you scan who has purchased a seat.
Locker
Visitors reserve a locker in advance. Upon issuance, scan the ticket and hand over the key or code.
Abnormal scan period
Make a ticket valid only during a time slot of your choice, such as a part of the day or "entry before 00:30".
More than scanning
What else is involved with your entrance
Check-in with badge printing
At trade fairs and conferences, you usually work with a laptop, a barcode scanner via USB or Bluetooth, and a printer. You scan the ticket and the badge rolls out.

Questions about scanning
Which scanning solution suits my event?
For up to approximately 2,500 visitors, the app on phones is sufficient. Above that number, we recommend Zebra TC27 scanners. For campsites and grounds where visitors frequently walk in and out, self-scan gates are the most efficient.
How many tickets do I scan per hour?
Expect a maximum of 1,000 tickets per hour by phone, 1,800 by Zebra handheld scanner, and 900 by self-checkout gate. These are upper limits: the actual pace depends on your entrance, the throughput, and the experience of your team.
Can a visitor leave the premises and re-enter later?
Yes. In addition to the entrance, you can also scan the exit. A ticket scanned at the exit becomes valid again for the entrance. Festivals use this for traffic between the campsite and the festival grounds, but you can use it anywhere visitors are allowed to leave in between.
Can I combine phones and Zebra scanners?
Yes. All devices work with the same data, so you can use them interchangeably.
How do I get Zebra scanners or self-scan gates?
You can request Zebra scanners via the backoffice. If you wish to deploy self-scan gates, please contact us regarding your project. We are happy to brainstorm with you and arrange it together with Dutch Barrier Services.
Do I need internet to scan?
Yes. This ensures that the checks are always performed online, based on the most up-to-date data. A ticket that has just been resold or blocked is therefore immediately recognized as such. In practice, the organization provides a network. If one is not available, we can provide one using our own network and Wi-Fi equipment and, among other things, Starlink connections. Zebra scanners can also be equipped with a SIM card for 4G or 5G.
I am switching from another ticketing system. Can I scan the tickets that have already been sold?
Yes, in two ways. We load the barcodes from your old system into SimpleTicket so that you can verify them with the same scanners. We do this for you: intentionally, you cannot load barcodes yourself. Or you can convert the existing orders into orders in SimpleTicket. This can be done via an Excel upload in a ticket batch, and we will help you with that as well if you wish.
